Nintendo and the Wii didn't seem to care much about the 1 year head start. They managed to surpass the 360 in overall sales.
Why is the 1 year MS head start affecting Sony but not Nintendo? I will tell you. Because consumers purchase what they feel is best worth their money. Consumers don't usually buy what they don't want. The 1 year 360 head start should not be looked at as a negative on MS, but as a negative on Sony for waiting so long to launch their syst...

Wait a minute, How did commodore64 fail? Move comes out in October (a couple of weeks) in Japan yet sales are declining. Are you all trying to tell me that anyone in Japan that may be interested in Move are NOT going to buy a PS3 until Move is released? Don't you think that there would be...I don't know, SOME kind of excitement or anticipation within Japan to actually spark sales leading up and passing the release date of Move?

Not everyone can afford Kinect and GT5. Some may feel that they would rather save their money and buy Kinect and then GT5 a bit later.
commodore64 is just speculating that Sony may not want to have their #1 title compete against something that "might" take initial launch sales away. That's all. Companies have been known to change their release dates due to the competition on the market at that time. Same also happens in the music and movie industry.
